What We Do in the Mining Sector
TechInspecta Integrity Services is a trusted partner for the Mining Industry in Mozambique, delivering specialized inspection, testing, and certification services that ensure safety, reliability, and maximum uptime of critical mining equipment and infrastructure.
We provide comprehensive integrity solutions for heavy-duty mining operations, focusing on lifting equipment, structural components, and safety-critical systems used in both open-pit and underground mining environments.
Our Client’s Challenge
Mining companies operate in demanding environments where equipment failure can lead to production downtime, safety incidents, costly repairs and operational delays. Heavy lifting operations, mobile and fixed equipment, structural components, electrical systems, pressure systems and welded assets are constantly exposed to mechanical stress, corrosion, fatigue, impact damage and harsh site conditions. Clients need reliable inspection support to ensure that their equipment remains safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
How TechInspecta supports clients
TechInspecta helps clients verify the mechanical condition, operational safety, and structural integrity of heavy mobile equipment before use, during periodic inspections, after maintenance, and before equipment is returned to service.
We inspect critical components such as:
- Hydraulic systems
- Steering and braking systems
- Chassis and structural frames
- Pins, bushings, booms and arms
- Tyres, tracks and undercarriage
- Safety guards and emergency systems
- Fire suppression systems
- Operator cabin safety condition
- Fluid leaks and abnormal wear
International standards
- OEM inspection manuals
- ISO 21873 for mobile crushers
- ISO 12100 for machinery safety risk assessment
- ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management
- Client mining safety standards
Step-by-step inspection process
- Review equipment documentation - We review equipment records, previous inspection reports, maintenance history, OEM manuals, and client inspection requirements.
- Conduct visual inspection - Our inspectors check the general condition of the machine, looking for cracks, deformation, leaks, corrosion, missing guards, worn components and unsafe conditions.
- Inspect safety-critical systems - We verify brakes, steering, lights, alarms, emergency stops, access ladders, handrails, mirrors, seatbelts, fire extinguishers and warning devices.
- Check mechanical and hydraulic systems - We inspect hydraulic cylinders, hoses, pumps, fittings, pins, bearings, undercarriage, tyres, suspension and structural connections.
- Perform functional testing - Where permitted, we observe or test basic operational functions such as lifting, steering, braking, travel movement, emergency stop and control response.
- Classify defects by risk level - Findings are classified as critical, major or minor depending on the safety and operational impact.
- Issue inspection report & Recomendations - We provide a detailed report with photos, findings, corrective actions, recommendations and final inspection status.
